The facility is located in a new sports hall with a basketball court and spectator stands. It is the home and training venue of an important Albanian team, winners in the national men’s championship in 2018-19. A second wing of the building is dedicated to the training of the Academy’s young athletes.

An air heating system was required in order to serve the hall via an air distribution duct. We were also asked to heat the secondary structure with the same heat generator. The objective was to ensure the best indoor climatic conditions in order to be able to play sports at the highest level, while controlling and containing the increase in humidity inside the sports hall.
Solution
An IH/AR 600 hot air generator, suitable for outdoor installation, without occupying space inside the building, with a methane gas burner, was installed. The layout of the installation includes bifurcation of the supply ducting to bring air into the two buildings. Fire dampers have been provided in both for the maximum safety of the public.
A two-stage automatic control of the heat output allowed fuel consumption to be kept low. Humidity sensors make it possible to intervene on the servomotors of the outside air intake dampers to increase the fresh air and thus reduce the humidity inside.
