An innovative system geared toward ecological transition
A sports facility dedicated to one of the national sports par excellence in Hungary has been built: water polo. It is an Olympic-size swimming pool that hosts Champions League water polo matches, covered by double-sheet membrane.
Request
The client requested a heating and ventilation system capable of using the heat made available from a thermal water source. To supplement the thermal heat source, a natural gas heating system needed to be combined. The goal was to heat throughout the winter season the facility to a temperature of 32°C.
Solution
The solution consists of a horizontally developed thermoventilating unit with a 380kW power multi-fume gas heat exchanger combined with a modulating gas burner. Indirect-circuit thermal water heat recovery provided power to a 100kW finned coil, which was useful for preheating the fresh air introduced to compensate for air leaks in the structure. The end result was the maintenance of the required objective with an extremely rational use of energy. High efficiency, low consumption, environmentally friendly, to ensure sports performance at the highest level.
