An innovative system for heating a pressostatic balloon

A major water polo club has equipped itself with a pressostructure in order to use its sports facility also during the winter period. The structure is located on an artificial peninsula offering a spectacular view of the sea.

The customer wanted an efficient system to support and heat the pressure structure. They required a solution consisting of twin generators that could work simultaneously, to heat the pressure structure faster, or alternatively, using the second generator as an emergency unit that could be activated in case of need.

Solution

We designed a system consisting of two IH/AS 150K condensing hot air generators with an efficiency of up to 105% and compliant with the Ecodesing directive, capable of respecting the environment with NOx emissions <80mg/kWh (in combination with a class 3 burner). The generators are managed through a special electrical panel that controls the master/slave function of the two appliances (with the possibility of periodic inversion of the master/slave role) and the management of safeties for activating the second generator in the event of an emergency.

In this way it is possible to use the second generator to supplement the first (simultaneous use) or use only one of the two generators (alternating use).
